On December 17, 2025, the DOL sent a draft of a proposed rule regarding Wage Protection for the H-1B and PERM programs to Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review. This rule would revise Prevailing Wage rules and likely increase the wage amounts, but no specifics have been released at this time.
Once the OMB has reviewed the rule it will be open for comments on the Federal Register for 30 – 60 days.
